Are you an Indigenous Company?
Yes! Our co-owners are Mohawk Nation women, residing and handling this business from Six Nations of the Grand River, a Haudenosaunee community located 1 1/2hrs southwest of Toronto, Canada.
Can I use my Indian Status card for tax exemption on my order?
No need! Our company is a 100% on-reserve, First Nations-owned business. All sales are tax exempt. However, Canada Post/UPS/Purolator may charge a tax for your shipping label. As they are third parties and we don't handle shipment payments, we cannot control any taxes they may impose.
Do you provide International delivery?
Yes. Sapling & Flint ships worldwide, except the United Kingdom due to BREXIT policies. Your shipping, handling & insurance coverage costs are calculated and are displayed to you before purchase. We use Canada Post for the vast majority of our postal services, and in some rare cases (such as the ongoing Canada Post union negotiations that have resulted in strikes) we will use UPS or Purolator. By purchasing, you agree to our returns/exchanges & refunds policies. Please read them before purchasing.
Will my order have shipping insurance coverage?
All of our orders are covered by Canada Post shipping insurance. Your postal fee at check out is inclusive of the coverage of a Canada Post shipping label and of Canada Post shipping insurance coverage. In the event of lost or damaged packaging your insurance claim needs to be made with Canada Post. Sapling & Flint is not a 3rd party representative or claimant for your insurance coverage. Canada Post can use your tracking number that is provided to you via email by us upon shipment to process your insurance claim. All orders are required to have insurance coverage, we do not offer shipping rates that do not include Canada Post insurance coverage.
How do I return an item?
Please read our Refunds policy first in our Customer Care section. By purchasing, you are agreeing to all S&F policies. To return, you must contact us within 30 days of the shipment notification email you will receive.
How do I track my order?
Sapling & Flint will send you a shipping notification email that includes your tracking number information when your order has shipped. Please include your email address on your shipping information at check-out in order to receive your email notifications and your tracking number.
Is my personal information and payment method safe using your website?
Yes. We use SHOPIFY & PAYPAL as our platforms for secure online payment options. We will never see your payment information, such as your credit card number or bank account numbers. When you make a purchase, the only information we receive is a confirmation of payment from SHOPIFY and/or PAYPAL, the shipping address and contact email/number if you provide them. Sapling & Flint does not and will never share or sell customer's personal information to a third party.
