Sapling & Flint's Guide to 2020 Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Before we say anything else; Canada Post is asking all online holiday shoppers to shop early this year.

COVID-19 has no doubt caused an exponential and permanent growth to online shopping. With the holidays coming; whether you choose to shop with us or any online retailer, Sapling & Flint wants to make sure you have the best experience possible!

Sapling & Flint is based in Six Nations of the Grand River in Canada. Our shipping is handled by Canada Post in Canada, and is turned over to the USPS at the United States border for USA-bound orders.

Please note: Sapling & Flint follows the Canada Post guidelines for shipping, based on the customer delivery standard selection. This holiday season, Canada Post is providing holiday shipping deadlines but due to this unpredictable and no doubt overwhelming holiday online shopping season, Canada Post is not guaranteeing deadlines. Holiday mail-by deadlines are for information only; online shoppers are highly recommended to shop early this 2020 holiday season. Sapling & Flint cannot guarantee shipping dates outside of Canada Post standards, holiday deadlines, or beyond the shipping standard selected and paid for by the customer at check-out. Please shop early.

Leading up to every holiday season, Canada Post releases their holiday mail-by deadlines to allow for you to know when you must ship your order, based on where it is bound, for it to arrive to your desired destination by the holidays. The Canada Post Holiday 2020 mail-by dates at this link will help you find out when you should ship your holiday cards, packages (and S&F orders!) depending on the shipping rates you choose to use.

Canada Post has also created this handy tool to help you know how long each respective delivery standard may take for your package to be delivered when shipping within Canada.

Canada Post also has the following COVID-19 FAQ page to learn about impacts on shipping, post offices and handling of parcels to ensure the safety of Canada Post staff and customers.

Finally for your information, Canada Post has released this video message to offer some insights to online shopping during this most unusual of holiday seasons! AgainCanada Post is asking all online holiday shoppers to shop early this year.

We hope with this information, you are prepared to have a safe and healthy holiday season and shopping experience.

Happy Shopping!
